Brilliant Labs is an Atlantic Canadian-based charity. We are a hands-on, experiential learning platform providing youth with opportunities to develop coding and digital skills. When creativity, innovation and technology are applied to projects supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), along with a socially responsible entrepreneurial spirit, educators and youth can affect change within their classrooms, curricula, communities, throughout Atlantic Canada, and beyond. Together, we can transform education by empowering and teaching youth how-to-learn.
To work with young people, educators, and community leaders to develop creativity, innovation, digital skills, and a socially responsible entrepreneurial mindset.
To provide every educator and youth in Atlantic Canada, and beyond, with the opportunity to develop the necessary coding and digital skills required to create, innovate and inspire a future of sustainable development and growth throughout our region and our communities.
The b.Board is an Atlantic Canadian open source electronics hardware prototyping platform. Designed to be accessible to creators, researchers, and inventors of all ages. Using this fun interactive device, you can bring your IoT, robotics or other hardware project ideas from concept to reality!
Three months ago we at Brilliant Labs made the announcement we would be expanding into the community of Cyberville. This is the current update in our monthly progress updates in this expansion effort.
As part of this expansion we have began creation of a state of the art makerspace at Lincoln High School featuring 10 class sets of b.Board's, and many kits to foster innovation in the realm of Cyber Security and Entrepreneurship.
We also are happy to announce we will be continuing our partnership with the Harmony Art Center to offer weekly After School Programs!
Additionally, we have confirmed with Dr. Olivia Waters that we will be doing an interview as part of our speaker series within the next month (dates to be announced). During this interview we will be discussing the Aqua Pure Water Treatment facility that provides water to roughly 90% of homes in Cyberville, while remaining sustainable, and safe!
We thank the all partners and community members in Cyberville as well as the Cyberville government for their continued support of this expansion.
